VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Summertime provides lots of opportunities for community outreach through Vacation Bible School for neighborhood and church children. SUNSET LAKE CAMP: Sunset Lake Camp appreciates everyone who made a donation to the Camper Scholarship Fund at Washington Adventist Camp Meeting. GC SESSION WRAP-UP: The 59th Session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists wrapped up Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia. 150th ANNIVERSARY: Did you know the name “Seventh-day Adventist” was adopted 150 years ago this October? A special 150th anniversary celebration will be held around the world on Saturday, October 2. Adventists worldwide are invited to commemorate the anniversary in a variety of ways to reflect on what it means to be a Seventh-day Adventist in today’s world. Program suggestions, historical resources and other information for the commemoration are available at www.150SDA.org. Additional materials are being added continually.
BIBLE STUDY RESOURCE: A new Bible study series for women is now available (as of July 5) at AdventSource and Adventist Book Centers. Journey of Joy: Healthy Emotions and Holy Hearts by Carla Gober, PhD, is a thought-provoking, uplifting and inexpensive 11-part DVD Bible study series that will uplift and draw participants closer to Jesus. >See www.nadwm.org/BibleStudies to view portions of the DVDs and to learn more about this new curriculum.
