SAGE SERVICE/TRAVEL TOUR: SAGE Seniors are taking a service/travel tour to Michigan and Missouri this September and October. The service portion is September 26 to October 8 where participants will paint historic Adventist buildings at Adventist Heritage Village in Battle Creek, Michigan. 150th ANNIVERSARY: Did you know the name “Seventh-day Adventist” was adopted 150 years ago this October? A special 150th anniversary celebration will be held around the world on Saturday, October 2. Adventists worldwide are invited to commemorate the anniversary in a variety of ways to reflect on what it means to be a Seventh-day Adventist in today’s world. Program suggestions, historical resources and other information for the commemoration are available at www.150SDA.org. Additional materials are being added continually.
CHIP LEADERSHIP TRAINING: A Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) leadership training weekend will be held October 8-10 at Sunset Lake Camp. The CHIP program features 16 video lectures addressing chronic medical problems, including overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, elevated cholesterol and heart disease. This workshop prepares church teams to present this powerful video-based health ministry outreach that is changing lives and making friends for the church and citizens for the Kingdom.
