A Legacy of Excellence

The challenge of preparing students for success in a highly-competitive and fast paced world drives the rigorous academic programs you'll find in Washington Conference schools.  Our students benefit from:

Qualified Teachers -  Besides their obvious passion for teaching, nearly all are certified and many hold advanced degrees.  Classes are small, giving opportunities for maximum interaction and impact.

Innovative teaching strategies -  Whether recreating the Oregon Trail or learning robotics with LEGOs, creative instruction goes far beyond the textbook.  Teachers are trained in cutting-edge techniques like Thinking Maps, brain-based instruction, multiple intelligences and Six Traits of Writing.

Progressive Curriculum - Utilized in all Adventist schools throughout North America, our curriculum is Bible-based interactive and reflects the lastest educational research.  In each course, we work to provide a practical mix of theory, knowledge and life skills.

21st century classrooms - The world doesn't stop advancing, and neither does our commitment to making the latest technology available to students and teachers.

Real-world experiences - From producing a daily in-school TV news broadcast to learning to run a business through the Junior Achievement program, students get the practical experience that's so essential to effective learning.

Quality Measurement - An aggressive commitment to outcomes assessment and continuous improvement guarantees a first-rate academic product.  Teachers are each required to submit Professional Growth Plans, and are held accountable to a high standard of professionalism.

These and other crucial academic ingredients help assure that when our students walk down the aisle at graduation, they're motivated, achievement-oriented and almost always college bound - the latest success stories in the legacy of excellence.

Accreditation:
All schools are accredited by the Seventh-day Adventist church and approved by the State of Washington.  Several schools hold additional accreditation from the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.
