July
10-13

ATTENTION ALL TEENS AGES 13 AND UP!

"Flooded With Grace"
PATHFINDER & TEENS MISSION TRIP

LOCATION:   Chehalis, WA

You are invited to rally all of your friends and participate in a much needed mission trip to the flood-ravaged Chehalis area and join forces with the Western Washington Pathfinder teens for a great 3-day weekend of service, fellowship and Jesus.  We need all the help we can get - this effort is not just for the Pathfinders, but for all teens ages 13-17.

The summer will be our first trial event for a local mission effort. We will be camping out at the Lewis County Adventist School (2104 South Scheuber Rd., Chehalis), so bring all of your camping gear - not cooking gear as meals will be prepared for you.

We'll have a busy, yet spirit-filled weekend planned around the theme "Flooded With Grace".

THURSDAY, JULY 10 - Tony Scarpino, our worship leader for the weekend, will share an inspirational message each morning and evening, starting Thursday evening at 8:30 PM for those of you who plan to arrive early and set up for the weekend.

FRIDAY, JULY 11 - Groups will work in the community with flood clean-up.

SABBATH, JULY 12 - After the worship service we will go out into the community with some creative outreach ministry that each group has planned to share.  After a wonderful Sabbath lunch those of you who would like to join in will head out for an afternoon in nature followed by supper and worship.

SUNDAY, JULY 13 - We will go back to work with flood clean-up.

The cost person is $50, which will provide you with meals (9), a theme t-shirt and Frisbee. All you need is a tent, sleeping bag, and personal care items. All teens 18 and under will need to have an adult chaperone/sponsor (adult to youth ratio 6:1), so please plan accordingly.  The adult sponsor will need to provide transportaion and work with your group on the projects.

GENERAL INFO: Tent and RV camping (power/water available), NO pets will be permitted - absolutely no exceptions, restroom available, meals will be provided.

PACKING LIST (suggestions):  Grubby work clothes and attire for Sabbath afternoon hike (optional), Bible, musical instrument(s), work gloves, tent - camping gear, personal care items.

To register, simply fill out the REGISTRATION FORM (see below) and return it along with the appropriate fees to the addressed referenced on the Form. For more detailed information, please contact Lyndon and/or Doylene Cook at (360) 748-6977 or email Doylene at doylenecook@lcas.org.

We hope to see you this summer!

Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
* Camping & camping/survival skills
* Grade appropriate leadership training
* Activities promoting community pride & involvement through outreach activities such as helping in downtown soup kitchens, collecting food for the disadvantaged, cleaning & maintaining city and county parks, visiting and encouraging the elderly, and MANY more.
* Interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational, and outreach areas, with awards (honors) given for successful completion of the interactive training modules.
* Personal care and encouragement by a caring staff member! While many school classrooms have 10-30 students per teacher, Pathfinders offers AT LEAST a 1 staff member to every 5 Pathfinders ratio.

And Jesus said unto them:

Let the children come to Me, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as they.  Don't send them away!" Mark 10:14
