What is Momentum?
General Information PDF

Momentum is about a lifestyle of sharing. As Seventh-day Adventists, our mission is to prepare people for Christ's soon return.

Momentum is a five-year plan to introduce a cycle of lifestyle evangelism. It originated with the North Pacific Union Conference. Washington Conference is hosting the first six-month cycle.

How did Momentum begin?

Northwest-based mission trip groups depart for destinations abroad on a fairly regular basis. These short-term mission teams often travel to areas where Adventist work is growing the fastest.

In these locations, people there are focused on telling others about Jesus. It's a natural part of their life.

The harvest cycle pattern looks like this: prayer, outreach, making friends, opening the Bible, bringing people to meetings, and helping new members start the whole cycle over again.

What is "Evangeliving"? Evangeliving is a way of life where Christians live their lives purposefully to share the Gospel message.

>Read "The Christmas Goat" (PDF) for examples of how evangeliving works, plus what the Bible says about evangeliving.
>Read "Everyday Conversations" (PDF) for inspiration about making connections for the Kingdom.
What's happening in April?
EVENT:
April 14-21
Auburn City Church

April 21-28
Hope Channel
In January, February, and March, Momentum activities will be on the local level. You’ll be praying for people. You’ll be studying the Bible with people. Your church will have doctrinal teaching meetings with local evangelists.

Activities will shift in April. The teaching meetings will lead into a reaping meeting with Evangelist Ron Halvorsen, Sr., at the Auburn City Adventist Church. Churches within driving distance are encouraged to bring guests to the live meetings in Auburn during the week of April 14-21 (Sat-Sat).

Churches outside of the drive-in circle will receive the meetings via the Hope Channel on April 21-28. Plans are being explored to provide the program in Spanish, Russian, Korean, and by closed captioning.
Who is Ron Halvorsen, Sr.?

Ron Halvorsen, Sr., the main speaker for the reaping meetings in April, is passionate for Jesus Christ and, as a result, passionate for souls. He has called thousands to salvation in Jesus Christ over his 40-plus years of ministry. Ron and Carol are retired in Florida.

Why be involved?
(and how to be involved)
Perhaps a more appropriate title for Momentum would be "Involvement." In a post-modern world that questions tradition and religion, it does respond to relationships.
